The Polish Logistc Platform CLIP was accepted unanimously to join Europlatforms during the last General Assembly celebrated in Athens last 4th November.
CLIP Container Terminal is an intermodel Platform which currently covers the area of 8ha with storage capacity of 4500 TEU. It is located at the junction of two TEN-T corridors: North Sea – Baltic and Baltic – Adriatic, close to the S5 motorway and near the A2 Berlin-Warsaw highway. In addition, CLIP site incorporates an 80ha area within the Special Economic Zone, which provides tax exemption for companies investing here for a period of 12 years. Businesses setting up operations in the Special Economic Zone are entitled to regional aid in the form of income tax exemptions on two accounts: investment outlays incurred and the creation of new workplaces.
With this incorporation, Europlatforms has the representation of 9 countries (Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain) which include more than 100 freight villages and have representation in the 9 Europaean Freight Corridors.
