On 23 April 2026, EUROPLATFORMS participated in the event organised by SAPIR Group in Ravenna, focused on the digitalisation of the intermodal terminal and on the development of a more sustainable and efficient logistics system.

During the conference, the Secretary General Andrea Ballarin delivered a presentation focused on the role of European multimodal logistics platforms within the new framework defined by the TEN-T Regulation and European sustainable transport policies.

The presentation highlighted how digitalisation, data interoperability and stakeholder cooperation are becoming increasingly strategic elements for improving efficiency, competitiveness and integration across European logistics networks. Particular attention was also given to the importance of collaborative and association-based approaches capable of generating shared benefits for operators, terminals and territories. Several examples of European initiatives funded under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme were also presented, including the PASS4CORE projects, as concrete experiences showing how European financial instruments can support innovation, cooperation and safety within the multimodal logistics network.
