On 2 and 3 December 2025, the President Alberto Milotti and the Secretary General Andrea Ballarin participated in the “Logistics Forum of North-East Italy 2025” held in Trieste, focused on current and future scenarios for the logistics system of North-East Italy.
During the two-day event, institutions, logistics operators, infrastructure managers and industry representatives discussed several strategic topics for the sector, including the role of TEN-T corridors and multimodal networks, maritime and rail intermodality, infrastructure digitalisation and the development perspectives of Simplified Logistics Zones (ZLS).
Within the institutional opening session, the President Alberto Milotti had the pleasure of being part of a panel discussion dedicated to TEN-T strategies for the development of North-East Italy, together with representatives of regional institutions and major logistics stakeholders. The discussion provided the opportunity to highlight the strategic role of multimodal logistics platforms and freight villages in supporting the efficiency and competitiveness of the wider European transport network.
Particular attention was also given to technological innovation of the North-East logistics system, with dedicated sessions on the IMEC corridor, digitalisation of supply chains and integration among port, rail and road networks. The event represented an important opportunity for exchange among institutions, industry associations and logistics stakeholders, confirming once again the central role of the North-East area within European freight and intermodal transport networks.
